Join our team of board-certified, physician partners with 45 years of combined orthopaedic experience!

Partnership Opportunities

We are currently seeking two physicians with partnership potential to join our growing, upbeat, family oriented practice in Ithaca, NY. Ithaca Orthopaedic Group’s reputation has flourished through quality care with an emphasis on putting our patient’s first. Our referring physician base and patient-to-patient recommendations come from a 60-mile radius.

Location

We are located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region on the southern tip of the longest Finger Lake, Cayuga; home to over 150 waterfalls within a 10-mile radius of downtown Ithaca. Nearby Taughannock Falls is 215 feet high; a greater vertical drop than Niagara Falls itself. Ithaca is four hours from NYC and Philadelphia, three hours from Niagara Falls, and a short drive from Syracuse University.

Quality of Life

Tompkins County and Ithaca exemplify the small-town atmosphere while showcasing the qualities of a larger metropolitan city. In fact, Ithaca ranked 17th nationwide among the “Best Places for Business and Careers,” in Forbes magazine in April 2006. Our average high temperature in July is 78 degrees.

Demographics

Our services are rendered over three primary counties: Tompkins, Cayuga, and Cortland with a combined population of 230,000 plus and growing. We are one of the highest educated areas per capita in the nation and home to Ivy League, Division I, Cornell University and Division III Ithaca College.

Team Physician for 2008 Ivy League Women’s Basketball Champions (NCAA Tournament invite).
Team Physician for Ithaca College Football Team. (1988 Division III National Champions).
Newly purchased MRI on premises provides patient convenience and drives ancillary revenue.
In-house durable medical equipment (Medicare Approved) with strong inventory control and ancillary revenue.
Current average length of service for 19 staff members is five and a half years.
Strong administration with forty combined years of healthcare experience.
On average we employ 5-6 Physician Assistants to support continuity of care and call.
On average we employ 3 X-Ray technicians to assist in maximizing patient flow.
On-call rotation currently is one in four. Two additional partners can create a one in six rotation.
